Our fall musical, A Man of No Importance, tells the story of Alfie Byrne, an Oscar Wilde-loving bus driver in 1960’s Dublin and his amateur theatre troupe, the St. Imelda’s Players. Forced to confront his own homosexuality and reveal his true self to those around him, Alfie is determined to stage the controversial “Salome” at their local church.
Show dates are Friday, October 10th, Saturday, October 11th (two shows), and Sunday, October 12th. Rehearsals begin August 11th. There is still time to submit a virtual audition. Submissions will be accepted until 5 pm, Monday, July 28th. Include a 32-bar cut of a mid tempo or ballad musical theater piece, preferably from the show, a resume, and a list of conflicts through October 12th.
