Meet the Cast of The Tempest

June 5, 2026 Lindsay Abbot

Jennifer Carlisle

Jennifer Carlisle (Gonzala) is excited to be making her Stone Church Players debut! Some of her past roles include Mrs. Bennet (Pride and Prejudice), Fanny Fudgebottom (The Sweetest Crime), and Gorbag Hellscream (Murder, Magic & Mead). She also performs improvisational comedy with October Ensemble and is a voice over actor. Jen wants to thank Michael and John for steering the ship and this amazing cast and crew. It’s been a pleasure being shipwrecked with you! Additionally, she is very grateful to those in her life who have offered support and encouragement. Here is everything advantageous to life!

John Davis

John Davis (Caliban) is delighted to make his return to SCP. This is a long time dream role for him and he is excited to share the complex and timeless story of Caliban with this wonderful audience.

Matt Gochman

Matt Gochman (Antonio) is happy to be returning to the Stone Church “stage,” having played Kent in last year’s production of “King Lear.” A veteran in the NJ theatre scene, he’s earned Perry nominations for his roles in “Almost Maine” (Jimmy/Phil), “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” (Max), and “The Philadelphia Story” (Dexter). Some of his favorite roles also include Tupolski in “The Pillowman,” Iago in “Othello,” Mortimer in “Arsenic and Old Lace,” Ken in “Rumors,” Hal in “Proof,” Richard in “You’ve Got Hate Mail,” Jason in “Romantic Comedy,” Serge in “Art,” Barnette in “Crimes of the Heart,” and Tyler in “Crossing Delancey.”

Aaron “Juice” Jackson

Juice Jackson (Stefano) is thrilled to be making his return to SCP’s Shakespeare in the Sheds series after a nearly four-year hiatus. He is best known for playing Claudius(Hamlet) and John Proctor(The Crucible) on the SCP stage. Favorite roles include Miss Trunchbull and Miles Gloriosus. He has also recently directed his passion project of Romeo and Juliet, and looks forward to co-directing Godspell in the fall with SCP. Special thanks to his new wife and scene partner Masha, without whose support none of this would be possible. Я люблю тебя

Masha Jackson

This is Masha Jackson’s (Trinculo) third Shakespeare production with the Stone Church, and she is delighted to wash ashore as Trinculo in The Tempest. Previous credits include Feste (Twelfth Night), Witch 1 (Macbeth), Hannah (Puffs), and Paulette (Legally Blonde), among others. She is grateful to continue exploring a wide range of characters on this and other stages across Central NJ. Special thanks to her new husband, Juice (one of her best life choices), for his constant love, support, and encouragement.

Caitlin Mahon

Caitlin Mahon (Sebastian) is ecstatic to be returning to SCP, this time as a villainous gentleman! Past credits include Miss Ernie Lally (A Man Of No Importance), Mrs. Anna Smith/Mrs. Green (Meet Me in St. Louis: A Radio Play) and Ensemble/Viktor (She Loves Me). Cait recently performed with October Ensemble (Into The Woods; The Roles I Didn’t Get; She Belts Back), and Monmouth County Parks (Showtunes Showcases). As a former competitive dancer and founder of SING AND SWAY, Cait fosters safe space for self-expression through beginner dance, karaoke, breathwork & meditation. Her lifelong dance career ended after a car accident permanently injured her back and triggered Chiari Malformation symptoms, leading to brain surgery and publishing her story in an international best-selling anthology. Cait aspires to raise awareness of invisible illnesses as she goes after her acting & singing dreams! Special thanks to her fiancé John and parents for their love & support, and Michael, John, Cast & Crew for this most noble journey!

Michael Marnell

Mike Marnell (Ferdinand) is beyond excited to be returning to SCP for “The Tempest”! This is his second Shakespeare and fourth overall production with Stone Church Players. He has been playing in Shakespearean productions for well over a decade in both Academic and Community theater spaces. The most recent of these roles include Casca in DeBaun’s “Julius Caesar”, Don Pedro in Brookdale’s “Much Ado About Nothing”, and Macduff in SCP’s “Macbeth”. He would like to thank the cast and crew for including him and sharing in this exciting project as well as his family for their unyielding encouragement and support.

Jasmine Morris

Jasmine Morris (Miranda) is honored to perform with Stone Church Players for the first time. Other appearances include: Somerset Valley Players: The Lion in Winter (Alais), Brookdale Performing Arts Center: Blithe Spirit (Elvira), and Spotlight Players: The Hobbit (Elven Queen). She is tremendously grateful for the creative minds that built this fantastical world, and for her lovely mother and sisters for their undying support and encouragement.

Andrew Parks

Andrew Parks (Prospero), a newcomer to SCP, has been performing in Shakespeare plays for nearly 40 years, including at Chester Theatre Group, Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center, and McCarter Theatre’s outreach program. Recent roles include Macbeth (Macbeth), Julius Caesar (Julius Caesar), and Simonides (Pericles). For the past two years, Andrew has participated in frequent readings with Paul Sugarman’s Instant Shakespeare Company. Andrew is eternally grateful for the love and support of his wife, Kathleen, and their two daughters, Sarah and Julia. Much gratitude to his mom for getting him started in theatre in the first place!

Andrew Struse

Heralded by the Two River Times as “the Florence Foster Jenkins of Monmouth County community theater,” Andrew Struse (Alonso) is thrilled to be partaking in his ninth year with the Stone Church Players. Andrew would like to thank our director, Michael, for his continual creative inspiration and complimentary baked goods. Andrew lives across the highway with his vinyl collection and an over reactive Aussie named Zimbra.

Chris Stypa

Chris Stypa (Ariel) was previously seen at SCP as Oscar Wilde/Sully in A Man of No Importance, Fabian in Twelfth Night, Bus Boy in She Loves Me, and Ariel (zero relation, they swear) in And Every Creeping Thing. Chris is stoked to be back!! Other community credits include: Romeo & Juliet (Benvolio) at Two River Theater; Godspell (Jeffrey) at BPAC and United Theatre; The Hobbit (Thorin) at Spotlight Players. Chris would love to thank the incredible team of cast, crew, and board members here at SCP for yet another incredible time in the sheds!
