SCP is excited to announce auditions for our outdoor September play, “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller.

Production Team:

Director - Liz Carlin; Assistant Director - Allie G. Cohen; Producer - Michael F. McClellan; Costumer - J Giachetti

Auditions will be in-person at the church, by appointment only on Monday September 12th (6 pm-9 pm), Wednesday September 14th (6 pm-9 pm), and Saturday September 17th (12 pm-5 pm). Please select your preferred audition date and time via SignUpGenius. Auditions will be scheduled in 15 minute blocks.

Please come to the audition with a resume and a headshot (if you have one). We are not requiring actors to prepare a monologue, but will be asking everyone auditioning to read sides from the script. Sides are available for review here: https://tinyurl.com/Crucible-Sides.

Video submissions will be accepted if you cannot make the in-person auditions or if time slots fill up. Please use the available sides and have someone read with you while filming your audition. Rehearsals will begin on July 10th and will be held on Mondays and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm and on Saturdays from 12 pm-4 pm). Casting Call: The Bridges of Madison County

Auditions will be in-person, by appointment only on Saturday July 30th from 11 am - 6 pm and Sunday July 31st from 12 pm - 5 pm. Please email your preferred audition date and block of time to Michael McClellan (michael.f.mcclellan@comcast.net). He will follow up with a specific audition time slot. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but flexibility is most appreciated. Auditions will be scheduled in fifteen minute blocks.

Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show/character that interests you. Actors may sing from the Bridges score for their audition. An accompanist and sides will be provided, and you may be asked to sing from the score.

Audition candidates should bring clearly marked sheet music in the correct key, theater resumes (and headshots if you have them), along with a knowledge of all upcoming potential rehearsal conflicts. Rehearsals will begin in mid-August and will be scheduled for Monday through Thursday evenings with the possibility of one Saturday rehearsal. Tech week begins Monday, October 10th.
