Music: Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lyrics: Tim Rice
Directed by Michael Hazlett

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's ground-breaking rock opera, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR changed the face of musical theater when it debuted on Broadway in 1971. Telling the story of the last seven days in the life of Jesus, "Superstar" dramatizes Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the unrest caused by his preaching and popularity, his betrayal by Judas, the trial before Pontius Pilate, and his ultimate crucifixion.

Something wicked this way comes....

Stock manipulation, corporate takeovers, money laundering, fraud – what better place to set a story of greed and the lust for power than on Wall Street? Where ethics and morality give way to profits and capital. Where “human costs” never outweigh financial gain. Where cell phones and iPads are the weapons of choice – this is where the world of MACBETH thrives. No longer content to wait for his rise through the ranks, Macbeth and his ambitious wife seize his moment to claim new properties, new titles and – ultimately – full control of the financial kingdom. His actions will leave the ruined lives of many in his wake. But will the fight to stay on top be his undoing? Goaded by the mysterious witches found in nearby Zuccotti Park, Shakespeare’s tragic character will see his future rise and fall on the fatal flaw lodged in everyone.
